Support for every stage of running a residential care home
Residential care homes — small assisted living homes in everyday neighborhoods — give older adults a home-like place to receive personal care. Running one well takes more than compassion. Owners juggle licensing, staffing, documentation, policies, resident care and family communication, often with a small team. Care Home Association provides professional connections, educational resources and access to paid consulting services for residential care home owners and senior service providers across Texas.
Whether you are researching how to open a residential care home in Texas or you have operated an assisted living home in Dallas–Fort Worth for years, our services are tailored to the scope of what you need — nothing more.

Not sure where to start?
Most owners come to us with one of these situations:
- “I want to open a care home.” Start with startup consulting to build your plan and understand Texas assisted living licensing.
- “We’re open, but things feel disorganized.” Operations guidance helps you set up routines, records and processes that hold up day to day.
- “We need written policies or better forms.” Ask about policies, forms and manuals.
- “Our caregivers need more training.” See our caregiver training resources.
- “I want to connect with others in senior care.” Membership and professional networking are the place to begin.
